As executive leaders of UCAN and our more than 500 dedicated men and women, we remain fully inspired working in collaboration with our program partners, funders, community-based organizations, elected officials, dedicated staff and Governing Board to pursue our vision that youth who have suffered trauma can become our future leaders.
Together we continue to work hard, smart and resourcefully to build on UCAN’s storied history of excellence in the youth services arena as we provide wrap-around services for the children, youth and families we serve and impact every year. We are integrating best practices with new strategies, priorities and metrics that will strengthen our programmatic and fiscal foundations and enable us to venture into new and expanded opportunities to serve.
Our ambitious but achievable vision for UCAN, as articulated in our Fiscal Year 2023 Strategic Direction framework, includes expanding our comprehensive family-based programming. We have the tools and tactics, and expertise and energy to grow our continuum of care to provide a wider array of workforce development services, foster care supports, therapeutic treatment resources, and violence intervention and prevention programs to positively impact our participants citywide.
Therefore, it is incumbent upon us, as we heighten our focus on program viability, to more fully integrate the dozens of programs and services we offer to facilitate our participants’ access to what they need to help produce the best outcomes for the vision they hold for themselves.
We invite you to not only spend time with this annual report that highlights UCAN’s outreach, footprint and impact, but to share your time, talent and treasure with us now and beyond in the spirit of helping those we serve unlock the power of their potential.
Sincerely,
